Christian group petitions Netflix to cancel Amazon Prime’s ‘Good Omens’
The internet is having a field day with an online petition by A Christian group called the American Society for the Defense of Tradition, Family and Property demanding the canceling of Good Omens, the television adaptation of Neil Gaiman and Terry Pratchett’s novel. But unfortunately, they addressed their petition to Netflix when the series is distributed by Amazon Prime.
The group has condemned it for several reasons including the fact that God is voiced by a woman (Frances McDormand).
The six-part miniseries follows two unlikely friends, angel Aziraphale (Michael Sheen) and demon Crowley (David Tennant), as they attempt to stop the antichrist kid from starting the apocalypse.
I love that they are going to write to Netflix to try and get #GoodOmens cancelled. Says it all really. https://t.co/8WNxCY1YmV
